The relationships we have with the people close to us are like our anchors. They infuse our life with richness and it’s important that we nurture them. However, it’s also important to remember that we have a relationship with ourselves too that sets the foundation for our interactions with others.
Do we know who we truly are? How do we stay in resonance with that and show up as our authentic selves? What is the cost associated with authenticity? I explore these questions and more in this candid, vulnerable chat with Zain Calcuttawala.
We discuss
- Zain’s battle with depression which led to him starting India’s first mental health podcast.
- The relationship he had with himself when he was at rock bottom.
- How to navigate the pull to be accepted while not losing your authenticity.
- What is the cost for authenticity and why is it worth it?
- Learning to realize that it’s a journey of You vs You.
- Dealing with judgement and the need for external validation.
- 3 things Zain has learnt from his journey.
