“When I was about 12-13 years old, I lost my brother to suicide. He died when he was just 21. I think if he had strong mental health support, he may still be here. In April 2021, I went through a harrowing time with Covid. That experience and the resultant spiraling anxiety and trauma made me realize just how much I had taken mental health for granted. I didn’t know what anxiety was until it hit me. I didn’t know what abuse was or trauma. The havoc it can cause. I knew nothing. And I thought I knew a bit.
That’s when I realized that we need a platform that talks about these stories we hide. The result is MyndStories. We want to provide an authentic, intimate understanding of our minds. I want to build a future where our minds matter. Our stories matter.”
“There are many mental health sites out there. But I didn’t find one tailored to our Indian context with stories relevant and relatable for Indians. That’s why MyndStories. Since the pandemic, I have realized just how much we take mental health for granted. The more we talk, the more we share, the better we feel. That’s something I should learn from because I have always been reluctant to open up. MyndStories is about creating a culture where we can open up.”
OUR VISION WILL ALWAYS BE
We founded MyndStories on values we hold close to our hearts. Can we build a business on compassion? Can we be kind? Can we churn a profit without being ruthless? Can we help others? Those were the questions. And our values are the answers:
We want to practice mindful compassion, ensuring that we treat everyone with respect, understand their boundaries, and cherish the relationships.
We may not be perfect. And we aren’t even trying to get there. We want to be here, accepting our flaws, promising to work through them, and loving all the chaos of this beautiful world.
We absolutely love and encourage diverse thoughts and views and encourage diverse representation at every level. Our world runs on love of all colors.
We are a small startup. We work with a diverse team spread across borders. You already met our co-founders. Meet the rest of us here.
