Hosted by podcast@myndstories.com|September 29, 2022

In this episode of The MyndStories Podcast, Ankit Narasimhan talks to Aanya Wadhwani, a queer-affirmative therapist and someone who identifies as a queer individual herself, about her experience as a therapist and the challenges that she’s been through in her own journey.

We discuss

  1. Defining the term 'queer'.
  2. Digging deep into where the rigidity in thinking stems from when it comes to the acceptance of the queer community.
  3. How to do the work to fully embrace who you are when you don’t align with the mainstream.
  4. How she has handled challenges that have come in her own journey identifying as a queer individual.
  5. How the process of coming out is not a one-time event or a linear journey.
  6. Understanding what queer-affirmative therapy is.
