Menthra, the AI-powered emotional wellbeing platform that launched publicly in India in June 2026, has introduced Menthra Care, a layer that connects users to verified therapists, coaches, and licensed clinical professionals for support beyond what an AI companion can offer. The announcement follows the platform's India debut.
Two networks sit behind Menthra Care. The Therapist Network brings together background-checked therapists, clinicians, coaches, and mentors onboarded against consistent standards of care. The Care Network partners with community clinics, universities, and non-profits working in mental wellbeing, aimed at reaching people who face cost, distance, or availability barriers to professional support.

The company says conversations signalling a need for urgent or professional help move users from self-service AI interactions to human support pathways, with oversight built in. Clinical reviews are anonymised by default, and the platform says its data practices are aligned with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act.
To lead this clinical layer, Menthra has named Dr. Anjali Jaisinghani, a NIMHANS-trained psychiatrist, as Chief Medical Officer of Menthra India.
Founder and CEO Dinakara Nagalla said the goal is to build "the human and clinical layer that connects everyday emotional support with professional care," so people are not repeating their story at every stage of getting help. Nagalla previously founded EmpowerMX, acquired by Swedish software firm IFS in 2024.
Menthra Care adds to a growing field of AI-first mental health platforms building out clinical layers for the Indian market, alongside players like Wysa and Amaha, as investor and government attention on India's mental health gap continues to grow.
