Lissun, an online mental health counselling platform, has successfully raised $1 million in pre-seed funding.

The round was led by IvyCap Ventures and saw participation from We Founder Circle and Supermorpheous and angel investors like Gaurav Munjal, Co-founder and CEO at Unacademy and Harsh Jain, COO, Groww among others.

Lissun plans to use the funds to strengthen the product’s technology, expand its presence to 25 cities and cater to 5 new healthcare categories. Currently, it is present in 17 cities and offers contextual solutions for 6 categories.

The company, led by a team of mental health, technology, and wellness professionals, believes in proactively working on mental and emotional issues that could be the underlying problems in many medical cases. Their model aims to integrate mental health into mainstream healthcare, reach a wider audience and penetrate deeper into the challenges.

The funding has further reinforced the faith in their model as Dr. Krishna Veer Singh, Co-Founder of Lissun said in a press release, “With this round, it is established that the concept and model have also gained investors’ trust. We are glad that with the right mentorship from the investors, we will be able to accelerate our pace towards achieving our ambition of solving mental health at scale in India and beyond.”
