Kerala is preparing to open its first neurodivergent-friendly coworking hub in Kochi, setting a new benchmark for workplace inclusivity. The space, called “i by Infopark,” is located at the Ernakulam South Metro Station and includes a range of thoughtful design features to accommodate individuals with diverse neurological needs such as autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and Tourette syndrome.

The space, which can accommodate up to 580 individuals is 48,000 sq ft in area and offers standard amenities like full power backup, high-speed internet, and round-the-clock security.

The facility is expected to open in September 2025 and extends from the 3rd to the 9th floor of the metro station building.

“The goal is to position Infopark as the premier choice for businesses seeking a dynamic, supportive, and strategically located workspace solution in Kochi, with a unique emphasis on inclusive and neurodiversity-friendly design,” explains Susanth Kurunthil, CEO of Infopark to The New Indian Express.

Nearly 2 million Indians are neurodivergent according to a study from NIMHANS and more corporates in India are hiring neurodivergent individuals to harness their unique talents and abilities. Earlier this year, Bangalore International Airport opened a neurodivergent-friendly zone, becoming the first airport in the country to do so.
