A holistic journey to mental wellness with Bipolarindia's World Mental Health Day Workshop 2023

World Mental Health Day falls on October 10th every year and is an occasion to raise awareness and promote mental well-being around the world. This year the theme is “Mental health is a universal human right” to emphasize the need for awareness and encourage more actions to preserve one’s mental health.

To honor this day and the theme for the year, Bipolarindia is organizing a special full-day workshop on October 8, 2023, which happens to be a Sunday.

Bipolarindia firmly advocates a holistic approach to support individuals on their journey to recovery from serious mental disorders like bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, and other chronic conditions. Their upcoming workshop is dedicated to empowering the community with valuable insights and practical tools for mental health and overall well-being.

This is a highly interactive workshop comprising four sessions on:

  • Session 1Yoga for Physical & Mental Wellbeing
    • Facilitated by Shrikant Kshirsagar, Corporate Yoga Trainer
  • Session 2Mindful Eating for Good Mood
    • Facilitated by Shilpa Mittal, Nutritionist
  • Session 3Self:Energize
    • Facilitated by Tanvi Singla, Strategic Interventionist
  • Session 4Interactive Improv Comedy Act
    • Facilitated by Varsha Kini, Corporate Trainer

Exercise, nutrition, humor and self-care are all key components to building a resilient and positive foundation for mental health.

According to data from Tele-MANAS, the government-led mental health initiative launched in 2022, anxiety, stress, and sleep disorders rank the highest on the list of callers’ mental health concerns.

And as per a survey from ADP Research Institute, stress impacts work performance for 76% of Indian workers while 49% say that it affects their mental health.

Workshops like the one from Bipolarindia are much-needed in this scenario.
